Ms. Shannon Bergfeld
I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in San Diego county, and I have over 14 years of experience. I am passionate about the field of OT, and I love supporting students as they enter this impactful and meaningful profession. I have worked in a variety of settings and with almost all ages - from preschool to skilled nursing facilities. My experiences range from school settings (preschool through high school), skilled nursing facilities, home health, independent and assisted living facilities, management, travel therapy, and working in a military treatment facility treating those with traumatic brain injury and mental health concerns.
I also have experience as Clinical Adjunct Faculty teaching clinical lab courses as part of St. Catherine University's Online OTA program. My philosophy is that education should be relevant, fun, and practically applicable. I hope for each student to feel confident and prepared to enter the field of OT, and I look forward to supporting you on your journey!
